This Tutorial will Show you how to back up your site in cPanel. One option is to back up the entire site and all sub folders. You can backup to your Home Directory on your server or to a remote FTP server. If you select Remote FTP Server from the drop down menu, you will need to enter your FTP host address and login info as well. Either way, enter an email adress. You will be notified when the backup is complete. As you can see, the email will confirm a successful backup. You can see where the backup files are stored. While a full back up includes all files including configuration, logs, etc, you can also just back up your /home directory to your hard drive. It's important to note that if you do just a back up to you local drive, you will not be saving your MySQL data. But you can do that separately here. You can also selectively back up specific folders or subdomains. Restoring your data to your server is just as easy. Browse your hard drive and locate your back up file. Simple as that! You are now able to back up and restore your site files in cPanel.
