This tutorial will show you how to change your control panel password in cPanel. Enter your old password. We will assume you still have access to it, as you would have needed it to access the control panel. Now create a new password. It should be 6-8 characters and should not contain your username. You have successfully changed your cPanel password. This provides access to your control panel as well as your main FTP account.
